My Specialities

My Approach

I believe healing involves more than simply talking about what’s happening. My approach has evolved through work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, distress tolerance, somatic self-soothing, and body-centered approaches to trauma healing.

I work primarily with women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who may be navigating anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, and the hormonal and identity shifts that come with perimenopause and postmenopause.

My goal is to create a space where you set down what you’ve been carrying, be honest about how you’re really doing, and make space for your own healing.

What it’s Like to Work with Me

My Background

Hey, I’m Tara.

My own healing journey has deeply shaped the way I work with clients. I began experiencing anxiety as a child following a significant loss, and over the years I developed my own understanding of coping, healing, and the ways our bodies hold experiences that we don’t always have words for.

I entered the mental health field in my mid-20s, initially in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Over time, my work expanded to include mindfulness, distress tolerance, somatic self-soothing, and body-centered approaches.

Today, I primarily support women in midlife who are ready to move beyond simply managing and begin creating meaningful change and healing in their lives.

Outside of counseling, I’m a lover of cappuccinos, punk rock, travel, friends, family, the beach and my puppy.
