Therapy for Women: 40s, 50s, & 60s
With Tara Arhakos, MS, LPC, NCC
In-person therapy in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey
Virtual therapy via telehealth for clients across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, and South Carolina
The middle of a woman’s life brings new challenges.
You may know your story but still feel stuck.
Healing can involve more than simply talking about what’s happening. Turning to the body can give you new tools for understanding and relief.
Therapy with me starts by grounding you in your body and paying attention.
I also provide psychoeducation so you understand what’s happening and why certain tools help.
My Therapy Specialties
-
Perimenopause often brings anxiety, brain fog, irritability, or sleep problems. I help you understand what’s happening and feel like yourself again.
-
Repeating patterns, overwhelm, numbness, and hopelessness follow complex trauma. I work with you to help you reconnect with yourself and trust your choices.
-
Panic, shutdown, poor sleep, and feeling on edge live in the body. Together, we’ll use somatic therapy to help you regulate, reconnect, and feel more confident.
Tara Arhakos, MS, LPC, NCC
Hi there! I’m Tara.
I work primarily with women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who may be navigating anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, and the hormonal and identity shifts that come with perimenopause and postmenopause.
My own healing journey has deeply shaped the way I work with clients.
I understand coping, healing, and the ways our bodies hold experiences that we don’t always have words for.
“The biggest shift is realizing you don’t have to keep fighting your own body.”
